Maintaining Your Website
Your Squarespace site doesn’t require any ongoing maintenance to keep it up and running, but the following tips should help you increase the traffic to your site and your search ranking.
Ensure your contact information is up to date
Share the link to your site and pages on your site regularly
Update the content as often as you can, ideally through a blog or news page
When adding new images to the site they should be under 500kb, ideally under 250kb.
Rename your images before uploading them to include your business name and a description of the image, eg “your-business-name-image-description”

Getting found - SEO Guide
Getting your website to the top of a Google search can take time after going live. Your website has been created using SEO best practices within the layout, design and back-end settings but there are things you can do to speed this process up and to maintain best SEO practices in the future.

stock photos
My favorite stock photo resources are Unsplash (free through Squarespace) and Burst by Shopify.
Website and Social media graphics
To promote your business on social media, or if you decide to start blogging, you may find you want to create some graphics of your own.
You don't need Photoshop or Illustrator to create your own graphics. Canva is a free editing program that comes with free templates for things like blog posts and social media posts. You can upload your logo here and use your brand colours to keep your graphics in line with your brand.
