Hi, I’m Kirsty! The girl behind Kirsty M Design.
I love small businesses and working with business owners to build websites that support their dreams is such an awesome part of my job! Why let the huge faceless corporations have all the fun (and the money)? Your small business can make a huge difference but it needs a smart website to support it.
When I’m not working away building up my business, you can usually find me binge-watching a 00’s TV series (currently rewatching The OC), doing yoga (Yoga With Adriene is the best!), travelling the world to watch wrestling (…yup, you read that right!) or running my second business.
This is Enzo (named after a vampire!) workmate and constant demander of food.

Teenage fansites
I first started designing websites when I was a teenager. For some reason, I felt strongly about setting up a fan site for my favourite wrestlers, The Hardy Boyz. This was where I first learned about website code and the joys of websites!

My Space Years
Remember MySpace? If you don't it's because you are young, but if you're in your 30's you know all about MySpace and 'top 8's Customising My Space pages and blogs when I was at uni studying architecture kept my hand in the web design world.

The detour!
I studied architecture at universiny and worked in the fieid until I couldn't bear it any longer. I'd been running a recipe blog for a few years and had found I could make a mean cupcake. This led me to quitting my job and setting up a home baking business called Ever So Sweet (named after one of my favourite songs!). Setting up my bakery I designed all my own branding, my website and social media - turns out I enjoyed that more than the baking.

Bake This Happen
For me, baking wasn't lucrative and I wanted to buy my own place. So, back to architecture I went but on the side I set up a branding and website design service specifically aimed at baking businesses. This still lives on providing cake pricing advice and simple website templates for bakeries - HERE

And finally...Kirsty M Design is born
It took me a while but I got here but now I work full-time as a website designer at Kirsty M Design and I'm absolutely loving helping fellow business owners realise their business dreams through an awesome new website.
