If you’re new in business you will know that it’s so important to have an online presence, to help people find out about you and to stand out as a professional in your field. However, you may not yet have the resources – time or money – to spare on a full custom website.

This two-week build process get ‘set up a website’ off your to-do list quickly. You’ll receive easy-to-follow resources that will help you write engaging text for your site. It’s then out of your hands whilst I build out a simple but effective website.
How do I build your website in two weeks?
Using my years of custom website build experience, I have created a library of reliable page designs, sections and layouts that can be tweaked to work with your business and website requirements. This reduces my design time and the need for unique custom-coded solutions.

Before we start your project I will ask you to complete some homework. This will consist of gathering together and branding information for your business, images and text.
Don’t panic about this task! I have a welcome pack and copy writing guide that will walk you through the next steps and writing the text for your site.

Project Cost: £1800 - 50% is due to confirm your project when the contract is signed and the final 50% at project completion.
Timescale: Projects take 2 weeks from the start date to going live.

Answering your questions

I use (and love) Squarespace for all of my website. I go into detail in this blog post about why I love it so much, but the short answer is that it is extremely user friendly for my clients to use after I hand the site over to them. It also allows me the creative freedom to create a beautiful bespoke website that can be strategic, smart but simple to use.

Hosting is provided through Squarespace and will be paid directly to them. You can pay monthly or annually and with the annual subscription you will receive a free domain (website address) and, as I am a member of the Squarespace Circle, you will receive a 20% discount on your first year. Generally, I will take a 50% deposit when you sign the contract and the final 50% when the project is complete, before transferring the website over to you.
I’m happy to arrange a payment plan to split the balance into monthly instalments with the full balance being due before the project handover.

If you don't have any type of branding or styling set for your business yet, I am happy to pull together a simple Website Style Palette for us to use throughout the project. This will consist of two fonts - one for your headings and one for paragraph text - and around five colours that are selected with website usability in mind.
This branding upgrade will cost £250 and will add around one week to your project. You will receive a style palette that will include the font and colour names so you can use them in your business going forward.

From your start date it will take around 2 weeks to complete. Before we start I will ask you to gather together your text, images and logo/brand information so when that start date arrives, we're ready to dive straight in!

Before the project start date you will have a bit of homework to do. That will consist of sharing text, images and your branding with me.
I have a Website Copy Guide that I will share with you, which will walk you through writing the text for each of the pages on your website.
We'll use a shared Google Drive as a place to store all of your information and we'll communicate throughout the project using Asana.

All websites require a cookie and privacy policy. It is also advisable to include a terms of use page for website users and if you have an online shop, conditions and shipping policies. As these are legal documents I can't provide these for you but I will share a Legal Pages guide with you that includes a list of requirements and resources for free and paid templates you can use.

Yes! I would never leave my clients high and dry with a website they are scared to touch. The best way to build your Google ranking is through an active and up to date website so I want you to feel confident in managing your own website.
When your website is complete you will have access to 'just for you' tutorial videos that will walk you through making small text updates, adding to your galleries, posting a blog and pretty much anything else you think you'd need to know.
